Fling into Fall

This year's Searsport Historical
Society entry in the "Fling into
Fall" parade will be extra
special.  It will be a dedication to
and a
celebration for Breast Cancer
Survivors.  If you or someone
you know is a survivor, please
spread the word that they are
warmly and joyfully invited to
join this very fortunate group.  It
will also pay tribute to the
Medical Technology and science
that has come so far in just that
last few years, without which,
this celebration would not be
taking place.

The parade will form on
Steamboat Avenue at 10:30 am
and start at 11 am.  It will
proceed through town and end
at the Public Safety Building.
The Society will have a float in
the parade that will transport
those who may be unable to
walk the distance.  Pink is the
color, be it a shirt, scarf, flower
or a happy smile just to be there!

The "Fling" starts Friday
evening. October 8th with many
activities planned throughout
Saturday evening.  Please join
the Searsport Historical Society
in honoring all Breast Cancer
Survivors everywhere.  For
more information please call
Valerie Murphy at 548-2547.
