Tuesday, December 9, the Annual Christmas Party
will be the order of the evening for the Searsport Historical Society.  It will take
place at festively decorated Curtis Hall beginning with a Pot Luck Supper at 6 p.
m.. followed by a fun evening of stories, games, music and maybe a surprise
guest or two!  Please bring a casserole, salad or dessert to share.
Everyone is asked to bring a toy or gift for a child to be donated to the "Toys for
Tots" program here in Waldo County, (Don't forget the Teen Tots!  They deserve
gifts, too.)  It's always heart warming to see the gifts pile up and know that some
children will have a happy Christmas morning because of your thoughtfulness and
generosity.
The Crary/Carlin/Coleman house has been closed earlier this year due to the high
price of fuel oil, and the annual Holiday house tour was canceled because of the
uncertain economy.  Everyone seems to be tightening their belts!
